Background: The client owned several real estate development businesses in Florida had accrued unlawful status in the US during the pandemic. He requested consultation after the CBP denied his entry to the US due to his prior unlawful status. After consultation, I established that though he has violated the US he was not inadmissible and he did not have the correct work authorization. He urgently needed to return to the US to oversee the already real estate projects. I suggested the E-2 given the substantial investment of over $6 million USD in the US and his executive position. I prepared his E-2 application with additional submission addressing his denial
My work: I conducted the consultation, assessed eligibility, reviewed documentation, drafted the submission, prepared the client for the in-person interview at the US consulate in Toronto

Background: The client had been in the US in L-1A status but had been working for an affiliated entity for several months that he did not have work authorization. He contacted the firm for legal representation to correct his non-compliance as soon as possible
My work: I quickly prepared and submitted an amendment application. It was issued an robust RFE due to the non-compliance but after submission of a comprehensive RFE submission his amendment petition was approved for the remaining allowable time. The client later retained for assistance with his EB-1A immigrant visa.
